welcome to wildpaw.com

While attempting to move Wilpaw's forum to a new server, problems with the forum's database surfaced. Currently we do not have the time or resources to correct these issues.

We provided a free forum for the Malamute community for many years and it's unfortunate that it not be able to continue because of database issues.

The Alaskan Malamute is the oldest and largest arctic sleddog. It was named after the native Innuit tribe called Mahlemuts who developed the breed for pulling heavy sleds and as a pack animal. In spite of its size and enormous strength the Malamute has a friendly, trusting nature which makes it unsuitable for guard work. These dogs have been bred to be thinkers and decision makers and have a strong independent nature. Therefore, time and energy must be put into training and socialization for this dog to be the 'gentle giant', it is known to be.

The Wildpaw Alaskan Malamutes site has been on the internet continuously since 1996 and we have provided Wildpaw's Alaskan Malamutes Discussion Group since January 2000. We have over 900+ registered members worldwide.
